YANNI CONCERT REVIEW!!!!

I had the best time of my life April second when I went to see Yanni in concert. I have never screamed that loud in my life, and my hands still hurt from all the clapping I did. So without further ado, here's my personal review...be warned I may be a little biased as far as percussionist Danny Reyes is concerned, because I've had a crush on him ever since I saw Tribute on TV!

April Second - The Most Spiritual Experience of My Life

You know how they say you only have one truly spiritual experience in your life? Well, going to see Yanni for the first time most definitely was!

I walked into the Rose Garden, excited and a little nervous, but I knew it would be fun. When the show finally got underway with Deliverance I knew we were going to be in for a good time. And Niki Nana definitely proved to be as fun as we'd hoped! Anyway I'm getting a little ahead of myself here. Aria, the song featuring Alfreda Gerald and Vann Johnson as a duet, was incredible. I had to start singing along to keep from crying. (and considering I could finally hit those high notes, I did!)

Now to get off the subject and drool for a bit. Danny Reyes, the percussionist....all I have to say is I wish I'd had the guts to yell and ask him if I could take him home with me but I probably would have been slapped by the three girls sitting behind me!

Anyway enough drooling. All of my favorite songs were performed that night. Aria, Standing in Motion, Santorini and Niki Nana especially. I really hope he comes back to Portland soon.
